About ICSB
No later than this end of month, the UNFCCC will meet again by Mexico (COP 16) , with whole world (almost 200 countries) representatives aiming to find global continuous actions .
Biomass conversion is Carbon neutral (this means not increasing the CO2 in the atmosphere) Thanks to its shorter term, biofuels production even helps to diminish the concentration in our atmosphere.
This Conference will present and discuss the technical advances on Bioenergy strategies and applications in France and Taiwan. In particular, it will also focus on the manufacturing and marketing field of the current industry and market, and the overall official policy of both French and Taiwanese government on future development trends. By means of which all scientists and researchers gathered, the Conference will seek to establish a cooperation platform for promoting communications on the implementation of energy policy and renewable energy technologies between France and Taiwan, we sincerely welcome China and other South East Asia countries’ contributions to present their recent researches to enrich the Conference issues.
On the 9th and 10th of November this year (2010),during the venue of the International Conference on Sustainable Biomass (ICSB) 2010, we will present the results of both teams' researches. French EGIDE association has established through the French Foreign Ministry the "Orchid Program" to get closer scientists in parallel countries and have the possibility to promote and bring together French and Taiwanese scientists for the purpose of linking a common basis of research and younger researchers' exchanges program.
The French scholars are invited to participate in the conference which will take place by GIES of Tamkang University and present latest Bioenergies developments together with Taiwanese researchers. The conference will also invite fame experts and scientists from South-East Asia and China to share their experience and find ways of cooperation or applications.
Last September 8th to 19th, the Taiwanese team ( Professors and PhD students) could go and visit the French team laboratories in France ( Toulouse, Nantes and Orleans), after which they can participate to two international Conferences in Brussels: KBBE 2010 : “Knowledge based Bioeconomy towards 2020”, to listen and exchange with highest EU authorities representatives such as Franz Fischler directorate general for Agricultural, rural and environmental policies or Members states representatives, also the Taiwanese team can participate to the ICCE2010 : International conference on Clean Energies in North Cyprus, focusing on future energy like Biohydrogen and other renewable energies, and can meet with scientist from all countries, including American, European , Indian and Pakistan, and also Taiwanese delegations. Effectively the ICCE2011 will take place in Taichung- Taiwan by Feng Chia University on next year November 2011.
No later than this end of month, the UNFCCC will meet again by Mexico ( COP 16) , with whole world (almost 200 countries) representatives aiming to find global continuous actions .
Asia is animated by fast growing economies, and where important transformations of large scale are operating, a priority concerns for the respect of the Environment protection was agreed as a consensus for fast growing economies and preservation of Nature and the pursuit of happiness and comfort for human societies has been chosen with a main focus theme on waste recycling, carbon neutral target and the importance of advanced new technologies to follow our developments and satisfy to our needs by this 2010 Universal Exhibition (from May 1st through October ) innovating with new technologies and quality of life in urban area as well.
Biomass conversion is Carbon neutral (this means not increasing the CO2 in the atmosphere) Thanks to its shorter term, biofuels production even helps to diminish the concentration in our atmosphere.
Condorcet a French physician , had already at its early time, predicted that although the fast growing of the population on our planet telling that Humanity will have to face depletion of resources with the development of the societies. Then he was optimist on the future , thinking that we would manage to cover our growing needs thanks to a better control and recycling of the wastes, thanks to the progress of Science. The presently commercialized technologies were based on foods competing resources ( water, tillable lands, or crops), and has been clearly identified with the threats that they would implicate. During the Conference we will be able to have an approach of the newest advanced technologies , the second and third generations Bioenergies researches orientation and work in France, China and Japan leading laboratories , and have the possibility to contribute to their researches, understanding their concerns and involvement in the sustainable, economic development for the stability of Ecosystems, for the World peaceful evolution and balance.
Taiwan has a population of almost 24 millions inhabitants, it represents only 0.46 % of the world population, but ranking 18th in the world for CO2 emission (which reached 276.2 tons million tons/year, in 2009), The fact that Taiwan is deficient in energy has brought large scale of thermic centrals implantation to face electricity and economic development demand.
Reduce atmospheric carbon and control our emissions from now on thanks to coordinated actions, and incentives to encourage the replacement of more polluting Fossil fuels by alternatives energies.
That will be for the sake of the future generations based on new systems and logics of productions with renewable energies.
Individual actions certainly as well as the concerted actions , hopefully, will find inspirations with the discussions conclusions …this conference may contribute, after all our heads put together towards better solutions, and constitute possible platform of exchange and allow inter-countries cooperation with future research between laboratories, and benefit of exchange of PhD students mobility (or post doc) to pursue the researches for more efficient use of our resources in consideration also of the impact and occurring consequences.
Scientists, Private industries researchers or Government officials, institutes or Organizations are very welcome to participate and contribute to the International Conference on Sustainable Biomass (ICSB) 2010, pushing for intensive reduction efforts of carbon dioxide emission combined with efficient use of energy sources, and actions to bring together solutions from this platform, as a forum between French and Asian researchers, local experiences for Global harmonious growth and the "Mise-en-Oeuvre" of new concepts in our future developments of our Societies.
